    • Robert Staehle
      General Manager
Robert Glenn Staehle, a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, worked in hotels for many years prior to joining the private club industry.  Among the most memorable were the Statler in NYC, the Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis, Whitehall and Tremont hotels in Chicago, Pier 66 Resort and Marina in Fort Lauderdale, as Director of Food and Beverage; and then the Alexander Hotel on Miami Beach where he held the position of General Manager.

Bob joined Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, FL in 1994, the last ten years of which he was General Manager prior to retiring in 2010.  In 2015 he was brought out of retirement to manage Heritage Bay Golf and Country Club where he is currently responsible for running its master association including all of the amenities and common areas of this “bundled community”.  He especially enjoys sharing his varied experiences with his  management staff while influencing their professional growth; many of the areas current clubs’ senior management worked under Bob’s leadership.
  • Matt Renner - Club Manager
    • Matt Renner

Matthew, following his service years in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard, has accrued fourteen years of experience in Private Golf & Country Clubs.  Heritage Bay has been his “home” for the last seven years, where he started as the Assistant Food & Beverage Director and quickly progressed to the Club Manager.  Matthew is currently a member of the Club Management Association of America and on the path to becoming a Certified Club Manager through their Business Management Institute’s General Manager/COO program.

Matthew recognizes that leadership is an integral part of being a Club Manager and has completed the prestigious Achiever’s Program at the Bell Leadership Institute. Matthew is also licensed through the state of Florida as a Community Association Manager.  He continues, as from the day he started seven years ago, to work on behalf of the Heritage Bay Community and its Members to aspire to be among the leading bundled golf communities in Southwest Florida.

Matt's favorite things about Heritage Bay included the team and the members: "Honestly, working with competent and professional staff that I’ve got to know over several years and have grown attached to. Being here for the last seven years, it has been my pleasure participating in the effort to increase the level of service, amenities and overall quality of Heritage Bay to what it is today.  Making a Member happy after helping them with a challenge or just by greeting them with a smile is one of many of my favorite things about working at Heritage Bay.”
